Shatrughan Sinha (born dec 9th, 1947) is an Indian actor, born in patna. Even though he is from Bihar, a place not known for film personalities, he struggled hard and established himself as a prominent member of the Indian film industry. He is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India and was one of the top male Bollywood film stars in the 1970s and 1980s. he was an actor who dominated over his co stars in the many notable multi starrers.

 

In the mid 1980s he felt that he should do something more for his country. inspired by the great politician from bihar Mr Jay prakash Narayan, he decided to enter into politics. he was the first and only actor who entered politics by joining the opposition party.mr sinha is the most successful actor politician in india, having created history by being the first member of the film fraternity to become a cabinet minister. he has held two portfolios, the department of health, and the department of shipping.He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party and campaigns for the party in Bihar.
